Is He The One for you?

When you’re dating, asking yourself the question, “Is he the one”, is extremely important. Because when you’re looking for “The One”, you don’t want to waste precious time on the wrong person, and you don’t want to end up with a broken heart.

Finding that special someone who ticks all the right boxes – someone who meets your needs, respects your boundaries, shares your values, and your dreams – someone you genuinely enjoy spending time with and feel attracted to can be difficult. Especially if you waste time dating the wrong person.

The truth is, it’s easy to waste your time on the wrong guy.

Have you spent years, or even decades in the wrong relationships?

Do you feel like you’re on the hampster wheel of dating, getting nowhere, no matter how hard you try?

Perhaps you clung to a relationship filled with drama, thinking it had potential, and that things would get better. But they didn’t get better, and you lost precious time and ended up with a broken heart.

Or maybe things were just “okay”, but something was missing, and you hung on because you didn’t want to toss away all the time you’d invested, even though you knew deep down he wasn’t “the one”.

If you’re an optimistic and loyal person who sees the glass as half full someone who hates giving up, you may find yourself in this cycle of wasting time on the wrong men over and over again.

It’s time to stop wasting time and ask yourself, “Is he the one for me?”

Stop twisting yourself into a pretzel and trying to make broken relationships work. You don’t have to settle for a relationship whre you can’t be relaxed and you can’t be yourself.

Don’t date from a place of scarcity. Instead, date from a place of abundance knowing that you have many of options. The old saying, “there are a lot of fish in the sea” is true. But not if you’re wasting time with the wrong person.

So how do you find The One?

The best way to find love quickly is to cut ties with the wrong person as soon as possible. If the relationship you’re in isn’t serving you, it’s time to move on. Immediately.

When you’re dating the right person, you’ll feel relaxed and happy. And you won’t ask yourself, “Is this all there is?” When you’re with the RIGHT person, things just flow. Your relationship will be easy. He’ll meet your needs and respect your boundaries, and the relationship will enhance your happiness. That’s when you’ll know he’s the one for you!

15 questions to determine if he’s the one for you:

Take your time to carefully consider each question, and be thoughtful about your answers.

  1. Is the relationship easy and enjoyable at least 95% of the time? A relationship should enhance your life, not drain it.
  2. Can I trust my partner 100%? Trust is the foundation of any healthy relationship.
  3. Can I be 100% myself with him? You shouldn’t have to change who you are to make a relationship work.
  4. Is he a kind person – kind to you and to others (including strangers)? Kindness is a fundamental quality in a loving partner.
  5. Do we have similar life goals? Shared aspirations help couples build a future together.
  6. Does my partner love and respect me exactly as I am? True love means accepting each other unconditionally.
  7. Do I respect my partner? Mutual respect is essential for a balanced, healthy relationship.
  8. Do we have fun together? Laughter and enjoyment are key ingredients in a thriving partnership.
  9. Is my partner supportive of my dreams and endeavors? They should be your biggest cheerleader and ally.
  10. Do we share similar values (or if our values differ, can we respectfully agree to disagree and make it work?) Aligned values create a strong foundation for long-term compatibility.
  11. Do we communicate openly, thoughtfully, and honestly? Open and honest communication is crucial for resolving conflicts and deepening intimacy.
  12. Do I love touching them? Physical affection is an important expression of love and desire and creates intimacy.
  13. (If you have kids) Is this relationship in the best interest of my children? Your partner should be a positive influence and role model for your children.
  14. Do I feel comfortable and at ease in this relationship? Feeling constantly on edge is a red flag that something isn’t right.
  15. Do I feel happy in general while in this relationship? Your relationship should contribute to your overall sense of well-being and life satisfaction.

If you answered “yes” to all 15 questions, the person you’re with might just be “the one”!

And if you answered “no” to any of them, you may be wasting valuable time.
